Natonchan Homestay : Happiness Village Homestay  - Village Experince in Sukhothai

Natonchan is a village in the countryside in a small province outside a major tourist destination but the village has successfully developed itself to be an attraction in its own right. The charming village of Natonchan attracts people for many reasons, starting with its wonderful mud-soaked textiles. When you enter the village you will encounter a wealth of sustainable tourism attractions, such as the beautiful sea of fog from the mountains and the traditional creation of handicrafts, including baskets, furniture, dolls, chopsticks, and cloth made using traditional weaving techniques. At our homestay, don't forget to try the famous Khao Poep (local noodle) of Natonchan.

Na Ton Chan. Ban Na Ton Chan village is a small village that has lots of trees in the family of LEGUMINOSAE-PAPILIONOIDEAE, so the village was named by then. You can go up to the top of the mountain and look at the view downs there.

 

Day 1                   Bangkok – Sukhothai                                                                                                                                               (-/L/D)

07.00am Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok Area to SuKhothai, on the way visit Visit Bang-Pa-In, once was the summer palace of the late King Rama V – this has some exquisite art works and the temples.. Continued to Sukhothai Province

Welcome guests.. Welcome ceremony; We welcome them home using Thai Blessing Ceremony by everyone is having dinner together in northern style, after that, having the village’s elder to bless our guest

Check-in to your homestay and have lunch at local restaurant. After lunch time, local host will take you around the village (by walks or bicycle). You can visit some houses to see and learn the local weaving. Mostly, women in this village will stay and work at their house, their main job is weaving. Then, Visit Ta Wong's house Local knowledge Ta Wong: Local Gymnastic Doll demonstration by Ta Wong (Ta means grandpa). Grandpa Wong has created the wooden gymnastic doll to be a hand exercise door for elders.

Day 2                   Sukhothai                                                                                                                                                                        (B/L/D)

Breakfast at homestay.

Start the day to do alm's offering. Local host will prepare the food for you to experience of food offering to the monks in the morning. You will have a chance to join the host to cook local food with secret recipes and have breakfast together.

start to learn the mud – soaked textile, is the main local product of Ban Na Ton Chan. A hand-woven textile developed with folk wisdom which has become a unique item identified with the place and inherited from ancient times by generations of textile weavers here. Lunch will be served at community center. There is Kao Perb (Stream Rice Noodle), Afternoon Relax on your leisure at homestay.  On late afternoon, time to ride the bicycle with local host around the village.

We will go to local fruit orchard.There are many kinds of fruit at Baan Na Ton Chan, since the location of Baan Na Ton Chan is abundance. The villagers plant all kind fruits that they can find such as durian, wollongong, orange and etc, you can walk around and try some seasonal fruits you like.

Evening : The local host will present you the local foods as welcome dinner together. Overnight at Homestay Overnight at Homestay Baan Na Ton Chan.

Day 3                   Sukhothai  - Bangkok                                                                                                                                               (B/-/-)

Breakfast will be served by local host at homestay. Packing time! and relax on your leisure.

Finally, as your 3-day adventure comes to an end, bid farewell to your hospitable host, and recount the wonderful memories on your comfortable ride back to Sukhothai Historical Park and go back to Bangkok

Natonchan Homestay rule and procedure

 

  • There are 16 houses that can accept not more than 200 visitors.
  • In and out from the homestay should be during 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Wearing polite clothes.
  • Please prepare your personal stuff for example your towel, soap, toothbrush, toothpaste and medicine.
  • Man and woman normally stay separately.
  • Register into the house giving ID card number, phone number, nationality and your personal health etc.
